Which means they have to use rags torn from old saris to staunch their flow -- an unsanitary practice that can lead to terrible infections.

Pardada Pardadi is a girls' school in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India. They've been profiled on NPR, The Times of India, Swagat Magazine, The WSJ's Live Mint, India Post, and by the Common Language Project.

Who is behind this web page?

We are Dave and Jenny, two Americans living in New Delhi and working in advertising. We've been to the Pardada Pardadi school and seen the impact they're making with our own eyes.

What happens once we raise $5,000?

We'll stop accepting donations. This is seed capital, not a charity.

Will it work?
